Abstract
The founding rector of “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad, Ph. D. Aurel Ardelean,
is a complex personality, as a professor, a biologist, a researcher, and an excellent manager,
author and co-author of various studies, researches and scientific papers, published in the country
and abroad. The rector’s contribution to the development of scientific and cultural cooperation
between “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad and universities from Europe is remarkable
through the undertakings materialized in long term bilateral projects, in the knowledge domain:
education, research, innovation.
