Abstract
Dan Manuca’s latest book discusses on new grounds Eminescu’s prose, his correspondence with Veronica Micle, and his links with theater, both as a writer and as a columnist. He also tries to explain what “national poet” means today and what the phrase used to imply in the XIXth century.
