Abstract
The most important phase of Ion Barbu’s second, so called, „oriental-balladic” phase which is considered as the poet’s most original and most interesting phase where he deals with the least explored areas of Romanian folk poetry – occult works (magic, incantations) and children games. In this phase Barbu investigates the Balkanic layer in the folk literature and legacy of Anton Pann as he displays a true fascination with picturesque, intense colours and raw language full of coarseness. The game, in this phase of Barbu’s work, represents the basic thematic component and a means of meditation about the magical powers of the verb and the dramatic initiations in the mysteries of the Universe. From its very beginnings, Greek philosophy, in correlation with the ancient sacred game of rivalry in wisdom, moved towards the annulation of borders between the philosophical-religious expression and the poetic expression. The tendency of Barbu’s poetry to suggest the constant game between appereance and reality sometimes leads to a revelation of his poetry’s true mystery, of the mystery hidden underneath the layers of subjective impressions. In this way, Ion Barbu tries to find a novel way of expression, using modernistic and even postmodernistic methods.
Rezumat
Cea mai importantă etapă în poezia lui Ion Barbu este numită ”etapa baladesc-orietală” este considerată cea mai interesantă şi cea mai originală din întreaga sa creaţie literară. Poetul Ion Barbu cercetează diferite forme ale poeziei populare – teme oculte (magie, incantaţie) şi jocul copiilor. În această fază Barbu investighează pe linie balcanică literatura populară şi legătura cu proverbele lui Anton Pann care fascinează prin adevăr, pitoresc şi limbaj crud. Jocul, în această fază, reprezintă componenta tematică de bază şi un mijloc de meditaţie despre puterile magice ale verbului şi iniţierile dramatice în tainele Universului. Încă de la începuturile sale, filosofia greacă, în corelaţie cu jocul vechi sacru de rivalitate şi înţelepciune a tins spre anularea graniţelor între expresia filosofico-religioasă şi expresia poetică. Ion Barbu descoperă jocul constant între aparenţă şi realitate, care uneori, duce la o descoperire de adevărat mister în poezia lui, a misterului ascuns sub straturile de impresii subiective. În acest fel, Ion Barbu încearcă să găsească un nou mod de exprimare, folosind metode moderniste şi chiar postmoderniste.
