A POST–JOZEFIN HISTORIC–JURIDICAL “DOCUMENT” ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF THE ROMANIANS FROM MICALACA

Abstract
First of all documentary material under discussion comes from institutional sources which existed and functioned in the Imperial Austrian space in 1819. We specify that the term “document” from the title, put between quotation marks, suggests that the post–jozefin historic–juridical material is not know according to the original, but according to a copy got relatively recently.
Secondly, the copy differs, very little from original. The difference is given by the impossibility to describe the type of paper and the scaled stamps of an annular type applied in the technical cassette of the document.
Finally, we can place “the document” in the category of the scholastic juridical documents of an agreement type. It was drawn up on 11th September 1819 in the Chamber Commune (Taxability) Micalaca, Arad County.
The object of the agreement is to renovate the three–year elementary school (trivial) of the Romanians of Oriental –Greek religion (orthodox), as well as the obligations of the Micalacan community to provide the means of subsistence of the national teacher and the payment of the contribution to the National General School Fund destined to finance the Romanian elementary schools from Habsburgical Empire.
