The day of 20 March, The International Day of Francophony, is a chance to promote the
idea of unity beyond geographical and political frontiers.
The role of Parliaments in promoting Francophony is to support the impact of cultures in the
democratic process of the Francophone area, based on the principles of active participation and the
respect for responsibilities.
The most important issues that must be approached are: the promotion of cultural diversity
and of the dialogue between cultures, the protection and rehabilitation of the cultural partnership
and the continuous improvement of the educational system within the francophone area. All of
these are meant to contribute to the idea of solidarity between cultures and peoples.
Member of F.E.D.E., organisation based in Lyon – France, „Vasile Goldis” Western
University of Arad organizes francophone post graduated courses and awards European linguistic
competence certificates, diplomas which are recognized and enjoy success on the labour market of
France.
