Abstract
This study is an homage brought to the memory of the bishop Inochentie Micu-Klein, who triggered, ever since the beginning of his ecclesiastic career, the struggle for social and national emancipation of Romanians in Transylvania. In full awareness of the fact that the fight he led was not his own, but the people’s, he acted as representative of his nation, he signed his statements in the name of the clergy and of the Romanian nation, he launched an appeal to the accomplishment of his program, this appeal being addressed to the members of clergy, the synod, and his people.
