Abstract
In May 1911, the architect known as Le Corbusier, set out on a journey to the Eastern part of Europe and he finally arrives to Constantinople. This travel, which can be placed in the romantic tradition of the Grand Tour, will have an important influence on his future work. In his adventure across the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe, the architect will set the starting point for the creation of a modern architecture based on the analogies and the re-reading of the universal patterns guessed in the classic art.
Résumé
En mai 1911, l’architecte connu sous le nom de Le Corbusier commença son voyage vers la partie orientale de l’Europe, arrivant finalement à Constantinople. Ce voyage, qui peut être placé dans la tradition romantique du Grand Tour, aura une influence importante sur son oeuvre futur. Au cours de son aventure à travers l’Europe Méditerranéenne et Orientale, l’architecte ouvrira la voie à la création de l’architecture moderne, basée sur des analogies et sur la relecture des modèles universels devinés dans l’art classique.
Rezumat
În mai 1911, arhitectul cunoscut sub numele de Le Corbusier a pornit într-o călătorie spre partea de est a Europei, ajungând în final la Constantinopole. Această călătorie, care poate fi plasată în cadrul tradiţiei romantice a Marelui Tur, va avea o influenţă importantă asupra operei sale viitoare. În aventura sa din Europa mediteraneană şi estică, arhitectul va pune bazele arhitecturii moderne, bazată pe analogii şi pe reinterpretarea tiparelor universale desprinse din arta clasică.
