„Ca toţi să fie una, după cum Tu, Părinte, întru Mine şi Eu întru Tine,
aşa şi aceştia în Noi să fie una,
ca lumea să creadă că Tu M-ai trimis.” (In 17,21)
Abstract
Our Lord Jesus Christ prayed for the unity of his Church, even in his final address, when the time of passions approached. This shows us how important this aspect was for the Apostles and, through them, for us today. Communion is a gift and a work of the Holy Spirit: the faithful are one because, in the Holy Spirit, they are in communion with the Son and, into Him, they share His communion with the Father. “ ‘Our Eucharist is with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ’ (1 John, 1:3), as the communion of Christian is nothing but the manifestation, inside them, of the grace through which God imparts His communion with them, which is His eternal life.”
