Abstract
The present work paper has the purpose to present in a conciseness form an image over the students’ personalities who study social work from the transactional analysis theory perspective. Applying the transactional analysis theory we can notice how the future specialists from the social work field express their personality on a behavioral plan in their relationships with the clients. According to personality structural analysis model of Ego, in each individual person coexists three fundamental states of ego: the Parent Ego state, the Adult Ego state and the Child Ego state. The results of the study indicates a preponderance of social workers in the Adult state for the future which requires a realistic and rational behavior, relating itself directly to the situation and with the capacity of listening, reflection, analysis, evaluation and interpretation of different situations, circumstances or context.
