Abstract
The aim of this paper is to study the historical and linguistic evolution of a minority language, the arbëresh, before getting to the analysis of the influence that this language has on the construction of one of Carmine Abate’s novels, Il ballo tondo,the one of the issue of language and of the language registers’ mixture, in short multilingualism as main object of the novel.
Résumé
Le but de cet article est l’étude de l’évolution historique et linguistique d’une langue de minorité, l’arbëresh, avant d’aborder l’analyse de l’influence que cette langue a sur la construction d’un des romans de Carmine Abate, Il ballo tondo, et celle de la question de la langue et du mélange des registres, bref le plurilinguisme comme objet principal du roman.
Rezumat
Scopul acestei lucrări îl constituie studierea evoluţiei istorice şi lingvistice a unei limbi minoritare, limba arbëresh, trecând apoi la analiza influenţei pe care o are această limbă asupra construcţiei unuia din romanele lui Carmine Abate, Il ballo tondo, în ceea ce priveşte problema limbii şi a amestecului de registre lingvistice, pe scurt, multilingvismul ca obiect principal al romanului.
