Abstract

2008 brings in our conscience another significant moment in hour national history: ninety

years from the Big Union from 1918 when, successively, came back to the Mother Country – as the

event was so beautiful named then – Basarabia, 27March/9 April, then Bucovina, 15/28 November

and at once Transilvania, Crisana and Banat, at the First of December.

The Union, carried out so late, gave birth to the Romanian’s State, but the nation’s unity

existed de facto since its formation, since he always had the same nationality, the same language,

the same orthodox beliefs, the same traditions, customs and the same culture.
